Hello!
It has been a year since I have posted! Sorry!

Well, lets see if I can remember everything that has happened!

Ashley is still trying to get her internship done. In the meantime she is working for her Uncle Paul & Aunt Boosie with the trucking. Nathan is in his second year of college at GBS in Cincinnati. Jennifer is a Senior and graduates May 28th. She has done PESOP at Rhodes State. She is planning on attending GBS in Cincy in the fall. Nathan proposed to Amanda in Dec. They are getting married July 17th in Meadville, PA and will live in Cincinnati until he is done with college.

Steve & I celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary in Sept.
Our kids and Mom & my siblings surprised us with a suprise party! It was so nice to see people that we haven't seen in a long time and family! Where have the years went?!!

April......showers?

Well, March is gone. Nathan & Amanda came home for Spring break. It was too short!

We got together for his Birthday!

Ashley can't find anywhere to do her internship. She might have to wait till Fall to complete that. Jennifer is trying to wind down for the school year. She really hopes to do PSEOP this Fall with her last few subjects in high school.
Easter is in 2 days. I hope everyone stops to think on what Easter is all about. Jesus died for our sins and arose from the dead. I am looking forward to be with family Sunday. There will be an empty place again this year. Dad always liked Easter time. We know he is with Jesus! Nathan & Michael won't be here either. Dani will be at her mom's. So really, there will be several empty places this year!
Next week the girls and I will be going to IHC in Dayton. We usually don't stay all night, but Nathan will be singing with GBS Choir on Tues. eve. , so he will be with us till Wed night. He has classes on Thursday then he sings again in the mass choirThrs eve.
Ashley will turn 21 April 24th. That just doesn't seem possible!!!
I will be busy with Pampered Chef shows at the end of the month. So, it's a very full April!

Febuary and March Happenings

Well, I guess I missed posting in Feb. but it was just busy! Nathan wasn't able to come home in Feb. One weekend was Choir PR Sunday and two other weekend he was on Choir tour.
I was busy in Feb. with Pampered Chef shows, which was good. Steve has been working alot of hours. We have had colds and I have had the flu three times, way........... too many times!
March is already upon us. Jennifer just left for ACE Regional Convention, where they will compete in different things. Running, arts, photography, singing. They will be back on Fri.
I will miss her. Ashley is working and in college.
I am more than ready for Spring! I am so tired of this cold weather and snow!
I has been a year (Mar. 9) that Dad died. Time has went fast in a way. I am sure Mom doesn't think so a times. Clair, my father-in-law, has been gone for four years now ( Mar. 8).
Dylan Barnt, the little boy I used to babysit for ( he moved), spent a day with us. It was a great day & fun, it went too fast! We will do it again.
I will post later. Nathan will be home for Spring Break.

A New Year

The new year seems to have many changes............good and I am not sure yet. It has been a busy one, as usual, it seems. We celebrated Mom's 72nd birthday on the 4th at Den & Deb's. Michael had to be back on base on Sat. the 3rd, so he didn't get to be there. Nathan didn't get back from Amanda's but everyone else was there. Nathan went back to Cincinnati on Monday the 5th. We had Christmas with the Bailey's on Sat. the 17th. Nathan was home and brought Amanda. We really enjoyed having her here and hope she wants to come back. After meeting all the family she may not want to. It was a little scary!!! You know how they all want to test them to see if they will survive! Well they did and ...................we will see.
I have been called for "jury dury" for the next 3 months. Well I had to go Tues. and I wasn't needed, they didn't need me. I was there from 8:30 till 11:00 when they got their questioning done. I was a little disappointed, I was hoping I would serve. I find it interesting.
Well....we have a new President. We will see......................... We need to stay in constant prayer. I really think there has been too much hopla about all of it. I know it is history but, it all is.
Well, there are 4 other Birthday's this month and we will be celebrating those yet on Saturday, 24th. Paul II, Daran, Derek & Bethany. What a celebration month!!! It is always fun! We used to celebrate them all seperate, but there is getting to be so many, some have to be celebrated together. I know I have rambled on, but just wanted to let everyone know what is going on.
Mom's health is pretty good, she has her good days and bad days. I guess we over protect her, but I don't want her out in the ice by herself. I know she gets stir crazy from being in, but she is coping well. Dennis has not been well with his health. Please pray for him if you think of him. The rest of us are fat and sassy!

Christmas

Well, we survived Christmas! It was mixed with feelings this year. Happy times and sad times. An empty spot with Dad gone. We really missed him....He always liked this time of year when family got together alot. He is with Jesus this year and not in any pain....and walking!!!

I did get my shopping done a couple days early this year. So, I had some time to relax. Things have been a little different this year, with 2 in college the $$$ is a little tight. But God is good!! Nathan said the other day that, " It seems, the older you get, your needs and wants, sort of... are the same." I told him, "No, that is just a poor college student with poor parents." No, we are very blessed!

I put up Mom's tree and put the lights on it, Jennifer finished it. Jen went out and helped her get some things done. Mom has been sick for over 3 weeks. Took her and Ashley to the Dr. again and she put them on antibiotics. I think they are both feeling a little better.

We are still working on legal things for Aunt Dorine and Uncle Jim. It just seems it drags on.......but I know sooner or later it will be done. It will be a relief. I think they have finally adjusted to the nursing home. Aunt Dorine sometimes askes when will she be able to go to Luther Pines. We keep telling her that the Dr. has to approve for her to be able to stay by herself, and that there is no way she can. Then she doesn't say anything for a while. Aunt Ruby keeps forgetting that Dad died, so she keeps asking Mom where her husband is. I know it is hard on Mom. When she tells her that Dad died, Aunt Ruby says that's right, then responds in different ways each time.

Everyone was home for Christmas with the Snyder's. We went to Mom's. Michael and Nathan was both home. Michael will leave Saturday. Nathan went to PA to spend time with Amanda and her family, till Sunday. Then he will leave Monday afternoon for Cincinnati. His classes start Tuesday. Ashley is taking a couple calsses at Rhodes State this Winter qtr. Jennifer starts school on Monday. They are going to have their Christmas party Monday because they had to cancell school on Friday before Christmas because of the weather.
Christmas with the Bailey's was postponed till January 17, 2009.

Jen went to Ashley Martins Birthday party sleepover for New Years eve. Ashley, Steve & I went to Den & Deb's and ate taco's, lots of taco's and stuff! Everyone was there except Jen, Nate & Daran, but really was..... via cell phone on speaker! What would we do with out cell phones!

I have posted some new pictures on my facebook. I do better loading them on there than I do on my blog so check them out.

I hope everyone has a wonderful and blessed New Year!!~

thanksgiving

Well, did we get a surprise! Michael came home at the last minute. Things just worked out and he found a ride home too. It was so nice to have Nathan & Michael home for Thanksgiving! The time went fast but we cherish every minute. Of course at the Snyder's dinner we had everything you could imagine to eat, and it still looked like no one ate. There was so much food still left. Everyone I am sure are still eating on it! We got together with the Bailey's on Saturday and of course a lot of food and more leftovers! It sure has saved time on cooking this week but everyone is getting tired of the same thing, so I have disguised some of it. Michael left on Sunday to go back to Camp Legune and Nathan left Monday afternoon to go back to GBS in Cincinnati. They will be home around the 16th of Dec. Michael will be home I think for 2-3 weeks. Nathan will be home till Jan 5th I think.
As many of you know Nathan has a special friend. You might want to check his Facebook for info and pics. He told me he was going down there to get his "Bachelors" degree. HaHa!
Ashley will be enrolling in the winter qrt at Rhodes to finish up her Assoc. Degree in Paralegal. She then wants to go on and get her Bachelors degree in "Investigative accounting". To do that she will need to go to Columbus to get because they don't offer it here in Lima at the branch.
Jennifer is at PCS a Junior, she is wanting to do PSEP next year.
The next few weeks are going to be very busy so I don't know if I will be able to blog much. I have been very busy with Pampered Chef Shows. Very nice to have the extra $ at Christmas.
Fridsay night we are going to the GBS Christmas program in Cincinnati. Then Saturday is our Church Christmas dinner. Here we go......................................

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving! I can't believe it!
We ended a week of Revival on Sunday. A very soul searching revival. It helped me tremendously! Some very good singing also!
Time is just moving along and I am not sure if I can keep up. Ever feel that way? Nathan is coming home tonight, and we are very excited! Michael was to come home ,but just found out this morning that someone lost his papers and he won't be able to. He is not very happy at all!!! We are all disappointed. He is going to see if he can get time added to his Christmas time off. This Thanksgiving will be different since Dad will not be with us. But, we know he is with Jesus and not in any pain. We will be goiing to my Moms Thanksgiving day and then Saturday we will be with the Bailey's. We are going to eat all weekend long! Then I MUST start a diet! I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving and remember who to give thanks to for all we have. We are so blessed! God has been so good!
